Led by America Ferrera, who won an Emmy for playing the title role, the Ugly Betty cast included several Latinos (Ana Ortiz and Tony Plana), and the show’s long list of guest stars also included well-known Latino actors (including Salma Hayek, Freddy Rodriguez and Adam Rodriguez).

The National Latino Media Council, which each year grades the four major networks on diversity efforts, has singled out the show for its depiction of Latinos and for leading the way for Latino-helmed shows.

Adam Rodriguez will be on today’s episode of Ugly Betty.

Hilda’s away and has left Bobby (Adam Rodriguez) and Justin (Mark Indelicato) behind. The mystery of why the theater aficionado is spending so much time with his friend Austin (Ryan McGinnis) plagues Bobby’s mind, so he tries to get to the bottom of it. But what he finds out may just shock him entirely.

Be Sure to watch Ugly Betty on ABC at 10pm tonight.

As Betty Suarez rushes headlong toward her inevitable destiny of inner and outer beauty, it is time to praise all the supporting players that actually made Ugly Betty worth watching.

Adam Rodriguez as Bobby: As Hilda’s latest and last love interest, Rodriguez has only been on the show for a handful of episodes, but he’s been fun to watch playing off of Ortiz.

So that’s it for Ugly Betty. I’ll be watching the last two episodes expecting each of these actors to give their characters a proper send-off. Oh yeah, and to see the braces come off too.

“Fire and Nice” – To speed along the investigation into her house fire, Betty is pressured to date an annoying fireman, Jimmy (Rich Sommer, “Mad Men”). Wilhemina tries to prove to Don, an old flame from her past (Brian Stokes Mitchell), that she’s just “Wanda from the block” instead of an uber-bitch, and Amanda draws closer to Tyler, convincing Claire to hire him as an in-house model at Mode. Meanwhile, Hilda meets Bobby’s parents for the first time (Lainie Kazan and Nestor Serrano), on “Ugly Betty,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Adam Rodriguez thought this would be the season he would wrap up Eric Delko’s story on “CSI: Miami.” He’s been coming in and out on a part-time basis after failing to reach a contract agreement last year.

But, after some negotiation (and fan agitation), Rodriguez recently signed to return to “CSI: Miami” full-time next season, so the only character he’s currently wrapping up is Bobby Talercio on ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” airing its final season on Wednesdays.

“I’m telling you,” Rodriguez tells Zap2it, “my love life on television could not be better. I’m getting married on ‘Ugly Betty,’ I believe, in the second-to-last episode of the season. We haven’t shot the wedding yet. They’re actually shopping for it right now.”

Talercio came into the storyline last fall as a drivers ed teacher, a former bad boy who dated Betty’s (America Ferrera) sister, Hilda (Ana Ortiz), in high school. While Betty briefly nurtured hopes that she might have a chance with Bobby, in the end, he only had eyes for Hilda.

Asked where the wedding might be filmed, Rodriguez says, “I don’t know. If I had to guess, we’ll probably shoot it on the stage, but maybe not. Hopefully we’ll have some cool New York location.

“The Suarez family is a fun family, so I’m sure the wedding is going to be interesting. And the Talercios are no bargain.”

Describing himself as a “hopeless romantic,” Rodriguez doesn’t anticipate wedding bells anytime soon on “CSI: Miami,” but for all the ‘shippers out there, he is working on a nickname for the pairing of Calleigh Duquesne (pronounced “du-cane”) and Eric Delko.

“Hmmm,” he said, “that’s a tough combination. DelQuesne, maybe? DelQuesne?”

Adam Rodriguez has likened the series finale of Ugly Betty to the story of Cinderella.

Rodriguez’s co-star Ana Ortiz recently confirmed that the last ever episode will see her alter ego Hilda walk down the aisle with Bobby (Rodriguez).

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Rodriguez elaborated: “Poor Hilda gets her happy ending. She so deserves it. She’s a good mom, a good daughter, a great person, and you really never get to see her win.

“She’s always faced with these obstacles and these bad guys that come in and out of her life who never work out. And finally she meets somebody who’s willing to love her the way she deserves to be loved.”

He added: “To end the show with her getting married and having that Cinderella moment for her is really great. I’m really excited about that. And for the character of Bobby, it’s a great way to show that this guy has really come full circle.”

Rodriguez went on to give the couple praise and said that he believes the audience will be happy to see them get married.

Ugly Betty continues Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
